CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET)
CTET is one of the earliest exams that an aspiring teacher gives to get into a teaching job in KVS,NVS,Army School,Govt. School etc.It is conducted by CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) twice a year.The main objective of this exam is to find and segregate deserving and bright teachers who should teach children for different age groups.
There are two papers :
Paper 1 – For Teachers teaching 1-5 classes.
Paper 2 – For Teachers teaching 6-8 classes.
Teachers can apply for either one or both of the papers.
This is a Qualifying Exam.
This paper is just a certificate to get into professional teaching.Marks of this paper are not counted or added in merit list of any job exam.Students need to get qualifying marks which are :
90 out 150 : For General Candidates
82 out of 150 : For SC/ST/OBC
The paper consists of 150 questions (1 mark each).No Negative Marking is there.
CTET for 2023 will be conducted in the months of July-August.
Admit Cards for the paper will be out on (discussed below).
CTET form filling started on 27 April,2023 and last date was 26 May ,2023.
Exam this time will also be online mode as it was last year.Tentative dates for exam will be there and will take place in shifts.
