Will Winter Holidays Extend in Punjab??

Punjab Government Earlier announced the winter holidays for students upto class 10th from 7th jan to 14 th jan amidst severe cold wave and chilling and foggy weather in the state.The schools were only open for classes 11th and 12th classes.

The weather was expected to get ok till Lohrii.e 13th January but the plans have not got well.The severe cold wave is set to continue till 15th January in northrn region of India as stated by IMD.

The Chandigarh Govt. has announced holidays for students till class 8th uptill 20th January,2024 amidst the cold weather.(READ HERE)

Now there are speculations that Punjab Govt. could also increase the holidays for classes till 8th due to same reason till 20th January but start physical classes for class 9th and 10th. The classes for 11th and 12th are already running.

The speculations are very vague as the schedule for pre- board examination is released and there are very grim chances that it will extend the winter vacations.

The vacations could extend only till classes 5 .

The schedule for Punjab Govt. schools is very much bundled up with pre boards,fairs,seminas,trips,quiz compitetions and many other activities along with mission samrath going on so it would be very diificult for department to close school for all classes.

With Final Board exams starting on 13th February for 10th and 12th it seems unlikely to give extension for holidays for all classes.
